Interior Designer

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on projects nationally, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, and design     development
  • Participate in selection of finishes, furniture, art, and specifications
  • Provide project team coordination for the finish plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
  • Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples
  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
  • Implement and manage all revit and rendering software standards
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
  • Manage Resource Library and manufacturer updates and appointments

Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years of related experience as an interior designer with a strong background in healthcare design interiors
  • Knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color and materials
  • Outstanding graphic presentation skills
  • Flexibility to focus on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple projects in various stages of development
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp preferred
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architectural Design

Senior Interior Designer/Project Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project teams
  • Collaborate on projects nationally, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, installations, management of budgets and schedules, construction documentation, construction administration, and furniture & art installation oversight.
  • Provide full-service interior design services for healthcare and commercial projects nationally in new construction and renovation
  • The successful applicant will be experienced in healthcare design and will have the ability to think quickly, communicate clearly on ideas verbally and through sketches / visualization and have a solid ability to document those ideas through to construction documentation and administration
  • Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents
  • Participate in and/or oversee the selection of furniture, art, and specifications
  • Provide project team leadership and direction for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction. Conduct quality control review over deliverables you and other staff members produce
  • Lead interior design teams in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples
  • Work with consultants, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives
  • Manage client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
  • Participate in business development and marketing efforts by maintaining client relationships and attending industry and client events
  • Contribute to and development of office activities, initiatives, and learning programs

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of related experience as an interior designer with a focus on healthcare interior design preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of the entire design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and art consulting
  • Outstanding oral and graphic presentation skills with substantial experience in working with clients
  • Flexibility to perform project management on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple projects in various stages of development
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction clearly to clients and coworkers
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
  • Computer skills to include proficient knowledge of Revit, Bluebeam, Photoshop, InDesign, and SketchUp
  • NCIDQ certified
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architectural Design from an accredited school
  • CHID certified beneficial
  • EDAC certified beneficial
